In many ways, we are defined by the work we do. Lawyer, Nurse, Teacher, Construction Worker. We have perceptions and expectations of all of them. Its a top question asked when meeting a new person. And like it or not, everyone has an opinion as soon as you admit your profession. But is that all there is? Are we solely defined by our professional work? What if we are in job that doesn’t align with our heart at all? In the Church, we like to talk about “Vocation” as our calling to the world. This may or may not align with a career, but it is a gift from God in its own light.
