Episode 17 - Christian Cliches

Sometimes, before we even know what we are saying, words are coming out of our mouths. Maybe we are trying to comfort a friend in grief. Maybe we’re trying to reassure ourselves during a difficult time. Whatever the case, cliches of faith are all around us. This week we want to tackle some of our (least) favorite cliches that the Beyond Sunday Team hears on a regular basis. Where do these phrases come from? Do they have any theological or biblical background? What can we be saying as a more faithful alternative to these easy to remember tag lines?
