Episode 38 - Are we stuck in a Rage Culture?

How often have you watched this scenario happen: Person A posts a comment on social media that is borderline inappropriate. Person B responds by publicly shaming Person A for their comment. Persons C, D, and E all rush to A’s defense while persons F, G, H jump into support B. Now the entire conversation is rooted in anger over who was right and no one is talking about the original comment.

Sound familiar? At Beyond Sunday we have been watching this take place and have started referring to this as Rage Culture. We would rather be angry with one another than try to help each other move in a more positive direction that would benefit all of us.

On this week’s episode we’re going to look this culture right in the eye and try to figure out a path forward for us as people of faith. Does our faith in Jesus call us to be angry? If it does, how should we release that anger in the world?
