Episode 77 - Is your church hurting your faith?

Since the Book of Acts there have been individual congregations or church leaders that, we might say, did more harm than good. There are still many churches that promote behaviors, theologies, or expectations that can do a lot of damage to our faith and our understanding of how God is at work in the world. Whether its a theology that shames you or a pastor that abuses your desire to serve others churches and their leaders have as much ability to do harm as they do good. In their first episode as a hosting pair, Patrick and Pastor David developed a list of 10 ways your church might be hurting your faith. Any church may be guilty of infractions in one or more of these areas but repeated infractions without repentance or an effort to change course may well mean its time for you to find a new community to support your journey with God.
